We are located in the small fishermen village of Trou D’eau Douce (literally, “Hole of Fresh Water”) on the East coast of the beautiful island of Mauritius.

Yes, we do have in some villas. Please make sure to specify this need in your reservation to that we can allocate you one of these villas.
The Beach Villas are directly on the beach, whereas the Garden Villas are at the back of the Beach Villas, between 40 to 90m from the beach which less than ONE minute walking on our beautiful wooden pathway.
There are restaurants and several small markets within 1 to 3km in the village.
Supermarkets are available within 8 to 15km (10 to 15 min by car/taxi).
Our cancellation policy varies during the year.

Our standard policy is:
More than 90 days prior to arrival: Cancellation Free of Charge
Between 90 and 31 days prior to arrival: 50% Cancellation Fee
30 days or less prior to arrival: 100% Cancellation Fee
The best season to visit any tropical island is during summer; in the case of Mauritius it is between November and May, but it is also the cyclone season and the rainy season (in terms of quantity of water). Winter months are cooler (20-28 deg) and dryer and the colors of the sea are beautiful thanks to the sun angle.
Each villa can take up to 8 persons and 2 babies. The 3 bedrooms are organized as follow:
Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): 1 double bed
Bedroom 2 (Downstairs): 2 single beds (can be screwed together and used as a double bed)
Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): 2 x 2 bunk beds (4 sleeping space)
Upon special request and availability an additional bed can be placed in bedroom 3 for a 9th person.
Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): 1 king size double bed (1.9 x 2m)
Bedroom 2 (Downstairs): 2 single beds of 1.9m x 1m each
Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): 2 x 2 bunk beds of 1.9m x 1m each
All mattresses are 8 inches thick.

Each villa has its own private swimming pool.
Yes, we have baby cots as well as highchairs available upon request.
In some villas we have pool protections. Please make sure to specify this need in your reservation to that we can allocate you one of these villas.
Yes, every bedroom has its own air conditioning unit.
As from 1st October 2021:
To enter the island, you will need
1/ to be fully vaccinated.
2/ a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours from the last point of embarkation.
3/ proof to have taken out a mandatory COVID-19 insurance health cover.
You will be required to take a PCR test on arrival at the airport (day 0). This will be free of charge for all vaccinated guests.
You will be required to do a self administered antigen test on day 5 of your holiday.
You can explore the island after you receive a negative result from your PCR test on day 0.
Travellers must be fully vaccinated to enter the country without quarantine. They must meet one of the following conditions:
1/ be fully vaccinated with two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine recognized by the Mauritian authorities. The second dose, if any, must have been administered at least 2 weeks prior to arrival;
2/ have received a single dose of Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine at least 28 days before travel;
3/ have an official document proving that they have already had COVID-19 with evidence of having had a post-infection shot at least 14 days before travel;
4/ be a minor aged under 18 years old who is currently exempted from vaccination and travels with his/her family.
We have completely reviewed our way of working and put in place a new protocol called “Feel Safe” which is audited and delivered by an ISO 17025 accredited multi-disciplinary testing and research laboratory.
All our staff – trained professionals with years of experiences in their respective field – have undergone hours of training for the past few months in order to have the good gestures to limit the risk of spreading the Covid-19.
Cleaning chemicals have been upgraded to cleaning AND sanitizing chemicals – where possible, environmentally friendly –.
Each villa is fully sanitized one hour prior to an arrival.
The use of hand sanitizers (available inside the villa and at the entrance of the premises) as well as the compulsory wear of masks are now in the “new normal” habits.
